TOP Vietnam Veterans continues to support existing projects and plans to broaden its reach. Donations help expand our services to veterans, their families, surviving families, and the Vietnamese people. TOP Vietnam Veterans depends on the support of individuals, corporations, and organizations to help carry out its many services and programs.

TOP Vietnam Veterans is a nonprofit operating foundation, and your donations may be tax deductible (consult your tax advisor). Your financial gift directly supports the programs of your choice.

Your contribution to TOP Vietnam Veterans helps accomplish several purposes through a single course of action: by helping others, we heal ourselves. Tape players/recorders for the Saigon's Nguyen Dinh Chieu School for visually impaired children. Special made wheelchairs for youth thanks to TOP donors.

TOP’s Mobile Mash in action. These kids work the streets by day, then go to night school. TOP gave them school and dental supplies. Medicine and vitamins for disabled orphans.

Nine Ways You Can Help Support
TOP Vietnam Veterans

TOP Vietnam Veterans relies on donations from corporations and individuals to support its programs. Here are some ways you can make a difference:

1. Donate to TOP. You can specify which program feels closest to your heart, and your cash donation will go to that program. Donations to our Humanitarian program go a very long way in Vietnam. Useful in-kind donations are: toothbrushes, first aid supplies, hotel soaps and shampoos, SMALL size T-shirts, pencils and pens, combs, and suitcases used for transporting these items. Items should be new or nearly new condition. Please send them to our TOP office--we do not pick up. Ask your friends, your dentist, doctor, and your work place to donate. Talk to your child's teacher about supporting a "sister" classroom in Vietnam.

2. Adopt a coin box. TOP thanks the businesses that allow us to place coin boxes in their stores and restaurants. In addition, a special thanks to the volunteers who adopt a box and monitor it at various stores and restaurants. If you would like to adopt a box, please ask TOP, and we will arrange to have it sent to you.

3. Select TOP as your employee-giving program. Talk to your fellow workers about making donations to TOP, and ask your employer about matching your gifts. Some donors wish to deduct a regular amount from their paycheck. TOP can coordinate this with your payroll department.

4. Leave a legacy. Designating TOP as a beneficiary in your will is a way to continue your good will beyond your lifetime.

5. Honor a friend or relative. Give meaningful birthday, anniversary, and special events day gifts to family and friends by contributing to any program on their behalf. TOP sends them a special acknowledgment that a gift was made in their honor.

6. Memorialize a friend or relative. We have had people remember those who have passed on by encouraging friends and relatives to send a donation to TOP in memory of the deceased loved one. This is especially poignant when remembering veterans and family members of veterans.

7. Sponsor a veteran or family member on a trip. Your contribution of a Tour of Peace can help a vet's family to become healthy and whole. This is the ultimate gift to a veteran who has served his/her country, or to a family member affected by their loved one's war experience.

8. Sponsor a humanitarian project or person. Adopt a school, orphanage, leprosy village, ethnic minority village, elderly home-we have some special projects and people we revisit that need ongoing help. You might be surprised at how little it costs to fund a project, and help people who need it. Please contact us so we can arrange to have your donations go toward a specific project you feel close to. In return, you will receive pictures and updates on the project or person you are sponsoring.

9. Spread the word. Tell your friends about TOP and our web site. Send us addresses and e-mails of interested friends or relatives for our database. The more people we can reach, the more we can do.

Donations of any amount are appreciated and make a difference in the lives of all who benefit from our programs. TOP cannot continue to do all that it does without your help. All donations are tax deductible.
